There's a weird thing in life. The more you want to get rid of something, the more it attaches to you – for example: worries. Where do worries come from? In fact, most of them come from yourself. It is a vicious cycle; people's strong desire to chase the state of no worry is the source of worries.

People want money. They worry a lot when they don't have money. Many think that if they have a lot of money, they will no longer have worries - that they would live happiness forever. However, that is not true. As money grows, so does your worries. Money creates excitement and new desires. New desires then create new worries. This creates another vicious cycle where more money creates more desires creating more worries. It becomes a snowball rolling down the hill making a gigantic worrying ball. A lot of times, rich people have more worries than poor people. While poor people only need to worry about their basic survival and what they can afford, rich people have endless things to worry about since they have so much in possession that their desire becomes so big that they want everything life has the offer. But the fact is, no one has the time and energy to ever have everything.

Some people seek power and authority. Without power and authority, you are controlled by others and people ignore you. In order to get rid of this worry, some people seek to gain power and authority. On the journey to gain power, some people would put on a poker face, be nice to people they don't like, lie to get what they want, and so anything possible to go up the ladder. They would try hard to win the heart of their bosses and avoid people below them who want to take their places. The journey to seek power creates a huge amount of new worries. Thinking back, it would be much better if they just lived as ordinary people. Unfortunately, people's desire for money and power has no limit. There is a saying, "People's desire is higher than sky. When they become kings, they want to become gods."

People should take the time to think about why some poor people have fewer worries than rich people. Why some poor people live an easier and more comfortable life. Of course, I am not saying that the poorer you are, the happier you will be. What I am saying is that you need to learn to control your horse. Many people cannot control their horses yet they try to make it run faster and faster. Eventually, they become a wild horse running non-stop. They become slaves of money and power – into the pit of infinite worries.

Everywhere in the world you find worries. It's something people cannot escape. Personally, I think if I am not the richest person in the world, so be it. If I do not have all the power and authority, so be it. I would rather live a simple happy life rather than trying to reach the top while having worries drop on my like a bomb. My advice? Take it easy.
